The income statement is a representation of the current profitability of the business. All the data on this page derived from the General Ledger and based on the Chart of Accounts setup in Epicor as well as the associated External Analysis Code. Below is an image of the page with the various visualisations highlighted:
The data on all visualisations is based on the fields selected in the slicers. If no Fiscal Year or Fiscal Period is selected then the last complete Fiscal Period will be displayed. All visualisations present the values as positive based on their normal balance, that is if an account has a Normal Credit Balance and the MTD value is Credit then the value will be shown as positive.
1. Gross Profit MTD vs LYMTD
This visualisation presents the Gross Profit Month To Date (MTD) vs Last Year Month To Date (LYMTD). The gross profit is calculated based on the accounts liked to an External Analysis Code with an Analysis Code of GP.
2. Gross Profit YTD vs LYTD
This visualisation presents the Gross Profit Year To Date (YTD) vs Last Year To Date (LYTD). The gross profit is calculated based on the accounts liked to an External Analysis Code with an Analysis Code of GP.
3. Net Profit MTD vs LYMTD
This visualisation presents the Net Profit Month To Date (MTD) vs Last Year Month To Date (LYMTD). The net is calculated based on all the accounts that are associated with an GL Account Category that is of type Income Statement.
4. Net Profit YTD vs LYTD
This visualisation presents the Net Profit Year To Date (YTD) vs Last Year To Date (LYTD). The net is calculated based on all the accounts that are associated with an GL Account Category that is of type Income Statement.
5. Gross Profit YTD by Department
This visualisation presents the Gross Profit Year To Date (YTD) by Department (Segment Number 3).
6. Gross Profit YTD by Division
This visualisation presents the Gross Profit Year To Date (YTD) by Division (Segment Number 2).
7. Variance Analysis
The matrix displays MTD, LYTD, YTD and LYTD values as well as a variance between this year and last year. The variance is displayed as a Value and a Percentage. The values are summarized by External Analysis Code and then Nominal.
